The Seeker

Deep Dive

The Seeker yearns to engage with new worlds on a regular basis. This includes fresh encounters with ideas, art & all that it encompasses, the natural world, or really anything that helps them grow in their experience of life.

They need & naturally seek out nourishing engagements with the creative worlds around them in order to feel connected to themselves & life itself.

When in a well-functioning group:

The Seeker contributes to society by embracing & engaging with brand new concepts, forms of expression & people. They invite experiences that nurture and encourage their creativity & enhance society by investing themselves—mind, body & soul—in creative & imaginative pursuits.

Their willingness to explore new experiences, art, people & the like can inspire others (who are less naturally open to such things) to embark on new journeys of their own. These people may discover previously unknown parts of themselves along the way.

As the Seeker ventures out, their pursuit of nourishing worlds doesn’t stop with the encounter itself: it spills over into other areas of their lives. And this spillage shines new light into various dark corners of the world. This is part of what makes society so fascinating: the overlap between our worlds & how we experience them.

When out of sync with others:

The Seeker embraces a world of possibility, but while their head is in the clouds, their feet are not on the ground.

That’s not to say that being afloat in art, music & interesting people & ideas are not worthy experiences in & of themselves: they are! But if these experiences do not come back to Earth—by which we mean foster more creativity & share access to such experiences—then Seekers haven’t moved past themselves in their pursuits.

This affects society’s ability to cooperate as a whole because those less inclined to such pursuits do not even have such things on their radars. In other words, if no one protected the parks or said that they valued them, the parks might disappear, might be erased. If people didn’t champion artistic works, museums wouldn’t survive.

So, there are responsibilities that come with being inspired, & the Seeker’s commitment to this world means ensuring that what inspires them is available to someday inspire others. This is how we all work together for the betterment of each other.
